WW1 Canadian Medal Set comprising the Military Cross, Victory Medal, and BWM (British War Medal) with the victory Medal and BWM both being correctly named to CAPT. A.S. ALLEN, with the MC being un-named. Also with the set is the named WW1 Memorial Cross, to CAPT A.S. ALLEN, M.C., and an RFC (Royal Flying Corps) OSD cap badge, an embroidered on cloth, padded and raised Observers Wing, and a colored enamel on gilt RFC sweetheart with pinback fastener and chain with pin. The set is also accompanied with a photos of Captain Allen and a copy of the letter home telling of his death, both printed from the internet. Accompanied with research. SKU: 61121
Arthur Spencer Allen attestated with the 18th Battalion (London Ontario) on Sept. 14, 1915 and received the Military Cross for gallantry with the RFC, and was Gazetted on Sept. 22, 1916. He was killed in action when his plane was brought down by the enemy on April 30, 1917.
