WW1 German S98/05 nA Butcher blade Bayonet With Matching Number Scabbard

Measuring 9 1/2 inches overall with a 14 1/2 inch single edged, fullered steel blade widening towards to the point. Manufacture marked to the one side, E&F Horster, Solingen. Marked with the number 1920 to one side of the steel cross guard, and serial numbered 1747 to the opposite side. Two German proof marks to the top of he pommel, opposite of the functioning release button, and also proof marked to the spine of the blade. Two piece, grooved wood grip panels in place. Complete with the matching number metallic steel field scabbard, also numbered 1747. SKU: 63635
