This pattern of life vest saw widespread use with RCAF aircrew during the war and closely follows the RAF 1932 pattern, featuring the distinctive yellow cotton outer shell employed on the Canadian version. Stencilled instructions can be found to the front including the word ‘FRONT’ and other stencils with inflation guidance. The front of the jacket fastens with three closure buttons, and an upper, and lower webbed material strap to a roller buckle. The collar is with an zipper and DOT marked pull to the back for access to the neck bladder. The inflatable bladders ae present to the front of the vest. RCAF label in place to the interior with faint date stamp below. Shows use and wear, and in very good displayable condition. A rare WW2 RCAF item. SKU: 64078
