WW2 German Army Dagger With Hangers and Portepee Eickhorn

The dagger measures 14 1/2 inches in total length with a drop forged steel construction, double edged, nickel/silver plated, stiletto style 10 1/4 inch blade that is maker marked Eickhorn with company logo to the one side. The original brown leather washer is still intact, and has  a cast alloy, nickel/silver plated, ferrule, cross guard with eagle and symbol, and pommel. The dagger has a molded, dark orange celluloid grip with the correct, diagonally angled ribbing and having the bright, silver/aluminum wire thread portepee (knot) in place. It is also accompanied with the molded alloy and aluminum construction hangers that are complete with the circular, oak leaf pattern buckles and pebble finished clips to the suspension rings of the pebbled finish, metallic metal scabbard. Blade shows some age spotting and discoloration and a nice untouched, aged finish to the other metal parts. Some expected wear marks to the portepee, and a very slight looseness to the celluloid grip. Scabbard also expected use and wear marks. SKU: 63258
