Steel combat bayonet measuring 15 1/4 inches overall with a 10 inch fullered blade that is serial numbered 980 over the letter j to the one side, and maker marked COPPEL Gmb.H. to the opposite side. Two Waffen Amp stamps to the top of the pommel, opposite the functioning release button. Finish loss on the lower left side of the blade. Two grooved bakalite grip panels, and non-matching number, manufacture marked metallic steel field scabbard that is dated 1938. AKU: 63916
