WW2 German Army M42 Helmet CKL66

Stamped, sheet steel construction helmet complete with leather liner and chinstrap. Retaining approx. 70% of the original finish, showing wear and use. The back inner rim is stamped ckl66, showing manufacture by Eisenhuttenwerk, Thale in mid 1943, and numbered 3275. The leather liner, stamped as size 56, is soft and subtle, showing use and wear. The 3 retaining rivets are tight to the shell as they should be, and match in finish to the shell. The unmarked leather chinstrap with metal roller buckle also shows matching use and ear, with  replacement and repair to the one end. An honest out of the field helmet. SKU: 65987
