Tooled steel and aluminum, single shot, single action, break open, 27mm flare pistol with 2 piece checkered bakelite grips and lanyard ring below. Measures 9 1/2 inches in total length with a 6 inch, half round, half octagon barrel. Maker marked AC40 to one side (1940) with Waffen Amt stamps to the opposite side. Functions correctly.
