WW2 German Luftwaffe M40 Single Decal Combat Helmet

The stamped, sheet steel construction helmet retains a good portion of its original paint having a naturally and original aged finish, with the left side having a second pattern, (1936/1937-1945), Luftwaffe eagle decal that shows war time wear.  All three liner retaining rivets are intact, with the front left rivet having looseness, with all others tight to shell and without play. The interior of the helmet has a nice worn and used M31 leather liner that is stamped 55. Liner string is a replacement. Manufacturer’s code and size,  "hkp62", indicating manufacture by Sächsische Emaillier-und Stanzwerke, AG Lauter, size 64 is stamped to the side of the  inner brim with lot number "1126" being stamped to the inner rear portion of the helmets brim. Decal is approx. 70% intact with only an outline of the symbol below the eagle. No chinstrap present. A nice and honest out of the war helmet. SKU:
