WW2 German Navy Kriegsmarine Officer's Etched Blade Dagger With Knot Carl Eickhorn

Measuring 15 1/8  inches in total length with a 9 7/8 inch, drop forged steel, nickel/silver plated, stiletto style double edged blade with dual, narrow, central fullers. Manufacture marked to one side of the blade, Carl Eickhorn, Solingen in an oval with the company logo to the center. The blade features the standard acid etched design of fouled anchors and ornate foliage pattern measuring 5 1/2 inches to each side. Blade shows drag marks from the scabbard, and some finish loss with the etching being mostly prominent. Detailed, fire gilt finish brass cross guard and pommel with the functioning brass lock release button to one side.  White celluloid spiral grip with twisted, dual strand, brass wire wrap that is tightly wrapped with the grip showing expected use and wear. The fire gilt brass scabbard with standard etched lightning bolt design and 2 suspension rings shows a nice and even untouched aged finish with some slight denting present. The issue silver/aluminum wire thread portepee is in place and shows fancy knotting to the one side, and wear consistent to the dagger. SKU: 63387
