WW2 United States Army Air Force USAAF Named Crush Cap

Named WW2 USAAF crusher cap with a  wool top and woven center band and soft leather visor. 2 adjustable leather chinstraps in place secured by 2 small brass U.S. buttons. The front chinstrap with 2 leather slider bands, and the back leather chinstrap having a steel roller buckle.  Die-struck alloy, fire gilt finished cap badge with screw post fastener, in place to the front of the cap. The underside of the leather visor has a period, hand applied naming to "Lt. R.W. Renner, O2058881". Marked as a size 7 with a manufactures tag to the interior of the leather sweatband.
